Corporate Yoga
Invest in your employees' well-being with our tailored corporate yoga classes designed to address your entity's unique work-related needs. Boost productivity, mitigate stress, and cultivate a positive work environment by incorporating our specialised sessions. We tailor breathing techniques, refine postural adjustments and implement stress management practices to enhance focus and overall health.

We’ve all heard the term ‘our employees are our biggest asset’. Without them, a firm cannot function and their well-being is therefore as important as their competences. Deadlines, projects, endless to-do lists and difficult colleagues can all take a toll. A weekly appointment with your staff can prevent common workplace injuries, improve focus and concentration, boost immunity, reduce stress, fatigue, anxiety and depressive moods at work and encourage employee satisfaction and well-being to name a few.
In turn, the company will benefit from increased productivity, reduced sick and injury leave costs, improved performance and an enhanced employer brand and reputation, also amongst clients.

Some facts
- Local survey results (MEA, 2020) reveal that, employees take an average of 5.89 days per year, with larger companies (employing more than 250 employees) incurring an average of 6.92 days. Research shows that younger generations (16 – 25 years) tend to take more sick leave than older cohorts, although older peers are more prone to suffer chronic illnesses.
- 34% of surveyed companies reported an increase in sick leave over the past five years.
- When annual sick leave entitlements are exhausted, 62% of survey respondents claimed that their employees take unpaid leave.
- The most common cause for sick leave absence in Malta is due to minor illnesses (91%), followed by back pain (41%), muscular skeletal injuries (11%) and mental health (10%). On an international level, the results are similar with minor illnesses (33.6%) being the predominant reasons for sickness absence. These were followed by musculoskeletal problems and stress, depression and anxiety (each 7.5%), gastrointestinal problems (6.8%) and back pain (6.5%) to name a few (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8501363/)
- People with chronic health conditions are more likely to be absent from work, with mental health having a significantly larger impact than physical health.
- Presenteeism can equally place pressures on both employers and employees since attending work while sick may significantly reduce productivity, lengthen recovery rates and, depending on the nature of the illness, put other workers at risk of infection (an issue that became increasingly evident during the covid pandemic).
With the above, there is clear empirical evidence that investing in staff health and well-being will deliver significant benefits to all concerned. Amongst these, prevention and alleviation of chronic health conditions, particularly common mental disorders such as depression and anxiety (which are highly prevalent in prime age workers), will deliver significant results.

Benefits of managing absenteeism / Impact of absenteeism
- Increased productivity.
- Reduced sick and injury leave costs.
- Improved performance.
- Credible employer brand and company reputation amongst clients (delays and staggered workflows never augur well with clients).
- Reduced overtime payments made to employees and/or temporary contract workers having to cover absences.
- Improved profit margins:
- increased costs reduce profit margins (unless revenues increase).
- absenteeism can decrease revenue if employees within specific roles are absent.
Why choose our corporate yoga classes
At Baobab Yoga Therapy, our corporate yoga classes are not just another wellness perk; they are a targeted, evidence-informed approach to supporting your team’s physical and mental well-being in the context of modern workplace demands. Whether your teams spend long hours at a desk, on their feet, lifting heavy loads, performing repetitive tasks, or otherwise, we design sessions that directly support their unique needs.
How we make a difference:
- Stress Resilience that Translates to Performance. Employees learn practical, discreet breathing techniques to:
- Manage stress in high-pressure settings like meetings or presentations.
- Avoid burnout.
- Improve overall focus, presence, and emotional regulation.
- Postural & Musculoskeletal Health. We address common patterns that lead to pain and long-term strain whether through desk-bound tension, heavy lifting fatigue, repetitive strain etc. Employees learn:
- Simple postural shifts and movement strategies to reduce risk.
- Functional breathing that supports core stability and spinal health.
- Stable foot foundations preventing the risk of injuries further up in the body.
- Better Circulation and Better Function. Movement boosts blood flow to joints, tendons, and organs, essential for:
- Sustaining energy throughout the day.
- Reducing fatigue and preventing stiffness.
- Supporting digestion, immunity, and cognitive function.
- Nervous System Support for Confidence and Presence. Rather than freezing or fleeing under pressure, employees learn how to:
- Reset their nervous system with subtle movement and breath.
- Appear confident and composed, even under stress.
- Project their voice confidently to address their audience with presence and hence attract their attention regardless of how timid or stressed they may be.
- Through cultivating presence, personnel can better contribute to team working, decision -making and interpersonal interactions.
- Boost Focus, Digestion & Afternoon Clarity. We teach your teams:
- Midday practices that help maintain energy and digestion post-lunch.
- Breathing and micro-movements that promote sustained concentration.
- Quick resets they can use discreetly at their desk
Our programs are grounded in yoga therapy principles — meaning they are customised, inclusive, and trauma-aware. We go beyond fitness to deliver real, lasting support for the everyday challenges employees face.
